|
DELAYED PAST STATUTORY DATE. DEP has issued guidance document; PLANS NOW DUE BY AUGUST 15. By June 1, 2010, each registered television manufacturer or group of registered television manufacturers shall submit a plan to the department to collect, transport and recycle used televisions based on the television manufacturer's market share. Also, by this date each manufacturer to whom the department provides, by April 2, 2010, a return share in weight that is greater than zero (i.e., computer manufacturers) shall submit a plan to the department to collect, transport and recycle covered electronic devices.

Regulations adopted . Covered electronic recycler applications accepted July 1- August 31. Once approved, recyclers can begin to bill all manufacturers reasonable costs for transporting and recycling CEDs. For returned TVs, costs will be allocated by market share across current TV manufacturers; for non-television CEDs cost will be attributed to the manufacturer associated with the brand on the returned unit.
