NERIC Reports and Presentations

  • Notes from Minnesota Stakeholder Meeting on Electronics Recycling Law (July 2007)
  • 2007 Maine Trip Report (July 2007)
  • Presentation at IAER Summit session at ISEE conference in May focusing on the state of markets and recycling infrastructure across the United States in 2006, including a summary of per capita collection rates achieved by different state and local programs, on data collection efforts and trends observed to date, and on orphan and white box analyses.
  • Presentation at Waste Expo 2006 on NCER/NERIC activities, and electronics recycling policies and programs in April
  • Exchanged information with Maine DEP about their data and process for calculating, implementing orphan shares. Traveled to Maine, met with Maine DEP and active consolidator Uniwaste to gather information about Maine program implementation (brand counting, invoicing system, recycling process, etc.) see trip report
  • The NCER traveled to Sacramento in early August 2006 to gather information for the NERIC Patchwork Study, implementation status, and characteristics of the California electronics recycling system.  The trip report summarizes information gathered at meetings with the state Board of Equalization and Integrated Waste Management Board.  The report includes a summary of the actual adminstrative costs of the program to date, and the total advance fee collections.
  • The NCER hosted a Brand Return Share Data Workshop at the E-Scrap 2006 conference.  The presentation materials give an overview of brand definitions, return share, and brand recording issues.  A simple excel chart  was used to show how return share translates into equivalent share as used in the Washington state electronics recycling law.
